Group Class

Group Class Example:
Preventive Maintenance, Trailside Repair, or Bike Packing Prep.
Preventive maintenance class (2+ hours):
After taking this beginner-friendly class, cyclists will understand their bike’s parts and functions and what they should take with them on a ride. Additionally, they will learn how to check their bike before and after a ride and to notice basic issues before they are on the trail.
Class covers:
-Familiarizing people with different parts of the bike
-How to do a pre-ride check to prevent mechanicals on the trail
-how to clean and lube a chain/clean a bike
-examples of what to bring with you on a ride
-how to add sealant to tires if tubeless
-how to check if parts need to be replaced (chain, brake pads, rotors, etc).
Trailside repair (2+ hours):
After taking this slightly more intermediate class riders will have an understanding of how to check their bike before and after a ride, and then dive deeper into trailside repairs and how to assess their bike after a crash. They will learn how to spot issues before they become a problem and fix the most common trail-side hangups that can end a good ride.
Class covers:
- How to do a pre-ride check to prevent mechanicals on the trail (a little faster than preventive maintenance class)
- How to use a chain tool
- Tubeless tire plug use
- Post-crash check
- What to bring in your repair kit
Note: flat fix repair takes a little longer to teach but I can touch on that if you want.
