The spirit of Chariot Bike is carried from Julia’s grandmother Norma Jean and her multiple solo rides across America in the 1940s. The namesake Chariot Bike comes from Norma Jean calling her bike Chariot, and subsequently, Chariot II, when the first bike was lost in a river (that’s a story for another day).
